Tulip Health and Social Care Training, Consultancy and Publication have been providing learning opportunities to the
social care sector for over 5 years. Whilst Tulip specialise in developing the understanding of positive support and
approaches for people living with dementia and the safe handling of medication administration, our diverse skills
and previous experience enable us to also provide other learning opportunities in areas such as safeguarding and
supporting people with learning disabilities.
The following is an outline of the courses that Tulip currently provides.
Supporting People with Dementia-
The aim of this workshop is to provide care staff with the opportunity to develop

Enhancing Communication Skills-
The aim of this workshop is to provide care staff with the opportunity to develop their communication skills to enable better connection with older adults and people with dementia.
Safe Handling of Medication-
This workshop is designed to enable care staff to develop their understanding of the importance of handling and administering medication safely. The workshop, will provide interactive activities to enable care staff to practice and reflect on their administration skills.
This workshop will provide care staff with the opportunity to reflect on safeguarding policy and develop a clear understanding of their role in safeguarding.
Promoting Positive Behaviour-
The aim of this workshop is to provide the opportunity to explore behaviour as a form of communication. The workshop will enable care staff to reflect on their approach to supporting people who behave in ways that are sometimes difficult to understand ..
Meaningful Occupation and Activities-
The aim of this workshop is to enable care staff to recognise the benefits of promoting wellbeing for older adults and people with dementia through meaningful occupation and activities.
